RE: 8. As was to be expected, the softest compound available here, the C3, showed some signs of graining especially on the outside edge. Clouds only began to gather above the Barcelona-Catalunya Circuit towards the end of the second free practice session, so track temperature was lower than in the morning. In fact it went from a maximum of 45.1°C in FP1 to 38.1°C in FP2. Air temperature varied between 23 and 27°C over the course of the day. RE: 8. GP DE ESPAÑA 2023 - taik - 05-06-2023 Leclerc y Ferrari andan igual de perdidos que nosotros: "We had the Hard, which we expected to be a good tyre, but for some reason it was so bad - no grip at all, especially from the front. "The limitations were completely different to qualifying, so we were expecting this. "But for some reason, we never seem to get into the right window of the tyre and when we do, it is a bit of a surprise to us. There is a lot of work we need to do. "The temperature came but also the graining came more than the temperature, so it was just understeering like crazy." RE: 8. Lance Stroll: "It was a fun battle with Lewis [Hamilton] on the first lap; I've pulled that move off before so I knew there was a gap and figured Lewis would leave me a bit of space, which he did. That put me in a good position going into Turn Five and I could hold the place. Then, from about five laps in, we really struggled with the pace. My tyre degradation was higher than expected but the cars around us didn't seem to have the same issue, so it's something we'll look to understand for the coming races. We bring home some good points finishing sixth and seventh, but I think we'd been hoping for slightly more today. I'm looking forward to heading to Canada, my home race, in a few days' time." Leclerc mismo dice en otras declaraciones: Charles Leclerc: Today in terms of balance the car was alright, but the performance was not at all consistent. We ran the Hards twice, but with the first set I struggled a lot, while with the second one it was reasonably good and I was catching Pierre (Gasly) towards the end. We really must analyse all the data, because while the upgrades seem to work as expected, we are always slightly caught out by what is happening with the tyres and we struggle to get them in the right window which is a big problem. We ran the same tyre twice in the same race and we went from having a very bad car to quite a good one towards the end of the race. Now we will go back to the factory and find out what went wrong yesterday in qualifying because that's what put us in a tricky situation today. There's a lot of work to do. A veces veo cosas... Cosas que no me cuadran. RE: 8. |
