Turkía: La madre de todas las batallas
#11
FIA Bans Filming Day Testing
The FIA are set to ban the testing of new parts on in season filming days, it was revealed this evening.
Teams had been using a legal loophole to use so called ‘filming and promotional’ days to test new parts. However following complaints from various teams, there has been a change in the regulations which means that the only parts that may be used on the filming cars are ones which have been raced.
Concerns were raised within FOTA after both Mercedes Benz and Ferrari tested new parts during film days.

a) Track testing shall be considered any track running time undertaken by a competitor entered in the
Championship with the exception of :
i) promotional events carried out using tyres provided specifically for this purpose by the
appointed supplier ;

Y NADA MAS.

Reglamentacion FIA:

permitted between the start of the week preceding second Event and the last Event of the
Championship. The following must be observed :
- Any such day may only be carried out by the new driver and may not take place on a circuit
hosting a race in the current Championship year.
- Any such day may only take place within a period 14 days prior to the substitution and 14 days

carried out using a scale model which is greater than 60% of full size.
i) No wind tunnel testing may be carried out at a speed exceeding 50 metres/second."

"i) promotional events carried out using tyres provided specifically for this purpose by the
appointed supplier "
