Sería legal preparar el mapa motor a la medida del circuito?

No se exactamente hasta que punto, pero si se que los mapas de motor, son algo en los que los equipos tienen libertad. Lo que no se, es si pueden tener tantos mapas como quieran, por ejemplo. O incluso si los mapas pudieran tener variables. Que es algo de lo que yo sospecho.

Engine maps are one of the dark arts of F1. Teams have various maps, controlled from the steering wheel by the driver; settings for fuel saving in the race, for example, for overtaking, or for setting the engine at the pit lane speed limit.

They said this was a breach of article 5.5.3 of the technical regulations,
which states that the "maximum accelerator travel position must correspond to an engine torque demand equal to or greater than the maximum engine torque at the measured engine speed".

The verdict on Sunday said:
"While the stewards do not accept all the arguments of the team, they however conclude that as the regulation is written the map presented does not breach article 5.5.3 of the technical regulations."

Eso parece.
Siendo común la ECU y el software básico de gestión.

Dejar a los equipos modificar ciertos parámetros del software de los mapas de potencia del motor, -dentro de unos límites-, para adaptar el rendimiento de cada monoplaza a cada circuito..

(...o por omisión, [tal y como está redactado], no estar específicamente recogido en la normativa la prohibición de esta modificación.)

Y ahí, me imagino, está la "laguna" de la Norma Técnica, la grieta, o el agujero negro, por donde se han metido los de Red Bull y ha sacado ventaja.. (y más si se endurecen los neumáticos)

Pero de ser así, también podría haber sido aprovechado por cualquier otro equipo. Todo hay que decirlo.

Tiene que haber mas 'cosa' que limite los mapas. Solo con eso las tropelías podrían ser de ordago. Y no creo que los demas fueran tan 'obtusos' para no aprovecharlo.
