of the #AMR24 forward floor aero is mega!! So let’s break it down a bit from front to back. This is a great view of how the air is moving along the floor top deck and interacting with the undercut.

Focusing on the front, you can see the upwash along the monocoque. The air comes at an upwashing angle into the leading edge of the aggressive underbite. The Coanda curvature of the inlet pulls the air down into the intake. The streaklines along the body show this very well!

As the air upwashes into the undercut, it is slowed and directed back down. This decelerating flow increases the local pressure in the undercut. This helps to push the surrounding air down and out along the top of the floor.

A bit further downstream we can see where this down and outwashing flow begins the transition into undercut flow. This forward outwash helps extract air from the outwashing tunnels. The undercut flow helps carry flow energy to the rear and rear corner elements.

Anyways, that’s a great look into the aero in the forward portion of the car! It’s so complex, so this is just a very simple explanation of what we can assume from these flow viz lines. I hope you enjoyed it!

Gracias German por traerlo.
En la zona trasera marcada con flowviz se ve dónde se concentra la presión y como sale después del ice skate. El AMR24 tiene tanta carga que en curva debería ser un espectáculo.

El RB ha mejorado su entrada en curva y ya no subvira por naturaleza, parece otro.
Y el AM al revés, no entra entra en curva tan fuerte pero tiene una parte trasera muy fuerte por la carga que genera y reacciona brutal.
He comparado el 1:33.0 de Verstappen con el 1:33.3 de Alonso , hechos a la misma hora y con carga hasta arriba.
Hasta la horquilla de la contrarrecta van iguales.
A partir de ahí Max mete 3 décimas pero casi todo en las rectas.
Es claro que estamos por detrás, pero posiblemente a 3 décimas como dice Marko.
En cualquier caso como mucho medio segundo.

Es más, tal y como es ahora el AMR24, Barhein no es un buen circuito para él.
Jeddah y sobre todo Suzuka le van a ir mucho mejor.

El F1-Technical que tenemos montado en Safety-Car es envidiable: análisis de telemetrías, tiempos, aero, espías que ven la retransmisión de los test, etc.

Lo del loock me da igual ,, lo de tener que compartir coche en vez de que cada piloto tenga el suyo ,, es otra cosa , importante o no.. Yo lo quiero saber es cómo gestiona el aire dentro de su chasis el AMR24 ,, Bottas está en un buen momento sin la sombra del Lewis ,,
