"I've just got back from an interesting lunch with F1 veteran Tyler Alexander, who retired not long ago from McLaren after working there from the very start with Bruce McLaren. Alexander is later this year publishing a book of some of the wonderful photographs he has taken over his nearly 50-year career in F1 and was regaling a few journalists with stories of his times at the team. One interesting observation was his opinion that, if you put Fernando Alonso and Kimi Raikkonen (both former McLaren drivers, remember) in the Red Bull, they would 'disappear'. 'Vettel's very good,' he said, 'but I just think they're better.' That's one for discussion long into the night."
