Mejor piloto para los jefes de equipo en 2003, 2008, 2010, ahora en 2012....

No está nada mal para los cacharos que pilotaba, no como otros a los que se les ha reconocido que llevaban aviones bajo el culo

Fernando es y sigue siendo el mejor piloto del mundo desde 2003 o como poco desde 2005. A estas alturas quien haya visto la F1 todos estos años debería reconocerlo.

Por mí que digan lo que quieran, yo estoy seguro que con el Red Bull de 2009 habría ganado el mundial, con el de 2010 se lo lleva con la gorra también y luego con el de 2011 habría dado un paseo militar como el de Vettel o más grande.

No digo que Sebastian sea mal piloto, pero sigo sin comprender cómo le suben tan desproporcionadamente por las nubes cuando no ha hecho nada del otro mundo. Mejor que Webber hay unos cuantos en la parrilla y él también habría podido ser campeón si le hubieran dejado

Por su puesto, ha sido el justo merecedor del mundial y de este reconocimiento, con el 7º mejor coche a mi parecer después de lotus, lo que ha echo este hombre, no hay piloto que lo haga, David contra goliath, empzando desde Newy, y acabando con el último títere de FIA.

Red Bull team principal Christian Horner says he would not have made Ferrari’s decision to retain Felipe Massa for 2012.

Commenting in the Official Formula One season review 2012 book, Horner said: “No, I don’t think I would [have kept him].”

“Unfortunately, it’s a tough business, and results-based. You’ve got to look at what the guy in the other car, which we must assume is equal equipment, is achieving.”

Asked if he was surprised Ferrari had decided to keep Massa, Horner replied: “Yes and no.

“They obviously had a good look at other drivers – at least one of ours! – so they were obviously concerned about his form, but their options seemed to become limited.”

“They took their time over Perez who, at the early point of the year, seemed to be a shoe-in [sic] for that drive. He’d shown real progress, he was a member of their junior academy, and then McLaren announced him.

“Then Felipe obviously picked his form up in the last third of the year. They were obviously deliberating – the messages coming out of Maranello confirmed that – and probably when the music stopped they realised that the option they had was best for them.”

Fernando Alonso produced a flawless 2012 F1 campaign - Mark Webber

Mark Webber believes Fernando Alonso produced a flawless season in 2012 as he tried to fend off the Australian's Red Bull team-mate Sebastian Vettel for the Formula 1 world championship.

Despite Ferrari starting the season off the pace, Alonso managed to pull out a 40-point lead over Webber, then his nearest rival, by the summer break.

But when Red Bull rediscovered its dominant form in the final run-in, Vettel was able to edge ahead and eventually clinch the title by three points.

Asked if he felt pity for Alonso, Webber replied: "I don't think he put a wheel wrong all year. That's the reason I think he's so disappointed. He felt he probably did everything he could.

"Was it his best season ever in terms of what he did? It could well be. He couldn't have done much more."

Webber noted that his defeat of Alonso in the British Grand Prix had proved crucial given Vettel's slender eventual winning margin.

"To still miss out by just three points - it was lucky I passed him at Silverstone..." said Webber.

Vettel said he would prefer not to pass judgement on his adversary's performance.

"I respect him as a driver for the fact he is fighting and he is one of the best drivers we have in F1, but you look after yourself," said the champion.

"We were fighting quite a lot as well. I don't want to put a perspective on who was fighting more or harder, that's not the point.

"It's a long season, there's a lot of races and in the end the guy who wins the most points wins the championship.

"Of course I am very happy it was us and not him."

Sin lugar a dudas esta temporada de Alonso ha marcado un antes y un después. Pero Vettel fue elegido mejor piloto por los jefes de equipo en 2009 y 2011. Saludos.

Vettel es solo una marioneta del circo, Alonso es DIOS a su lado.
