Draft 2015 F1 calendar revealed, 20 races included
By Jonathan Noble Sunday, September 7th 2014, 11:01 GMT
Formula 1 is set for a return to a 20-race calendar next season, according to a draft version that has been circulated to teams at the Italian Grand Prix.
Although some dates of the calendar may still change, the current proposal is for the season to begin in Australia on March 15 and end in Abu Dhabi on November 29.
The dates of the Japanese and Abu Dhabi Grands Prix are being considered for a shift forward of one week, depending on whether or not it is feasible for them to become back-to-back events with the preceding races.
The addition of the Mexican GP will bring the calendar back up to 20 races.
F1 has only once had a 20-race calendar before, back in 2012.
Once the teams are happy with the calendar then it will be put forward to the FIA's World Motor Sport Council for ratification later this year.
