The FIA and rival teams want to stop a rule loophole that explains some of the superiority of Mercedes’ 2016 car.

That is the claim of Germany’s specialist Auto Motor und Sport, claiming the silver-clad team not only has the best engine in F1 but also the best chassis.

The report said the Mercedes has an hydraulic roll and height control system - similar to the earlier ’Fric’ concept that was banned - that cleverly uses the ’step’ in the top of the chassis to mimic active suspension.

For aesthetic reasons, this ’step’ was allowed to be covered by a so-called ’vanity panel’ after 2012, but it also gave Mercedes a place to house the system outside of the carbon tube.

Correspondent Michael Schmidt said: "The other teams now recognise the trick and put it on the agenda for the technical meeting on the Tuesday after Monza."


He added that the FIA would like to ban it shortly, but that would require the agreement of all the teams - including Mercedes - to change the 2017 regulations.

El alerón trasero se le ve con bastante carga, no recuerdo un alerón trasero con tanto drag en el Mclaren

no sé que decirte ,,me parece que el de Monaco  llevaba màs carga ,,    ?????  lo que si es claramente  diferente es el monckey  seat  ,,,,      he puesto dos fotos de Monaco 2016 ,,,,

tambien dicen que  la FIA necesita el acuerdo de todos los equipos para prohibirlo ,incluido  Mercedes ,,, esto es de locos ,,,XDDDDDDDDD

Y como Mercedes es ***** lo van a prohibir, yaaaa claro, o le obligan o no van a votar para prohibirlo...
Esto es de chiste, algo supuestamente ilegal y ahora se debe de votar...

Un mote fácil para el chaval: Maxdonado. 


Aquí sólo hay una cosa que puede hacer que Verstappen no gane: que Mercedes diga que por su cojones no se bajan del burro. 

Porque yo creo que la FIA no tiene ni idea de cómo parar a Mercedes. Mercedes yo creo que pactará con Ecclestone enviar a algún ingeniero más a Ferrari este invierno, darles algo más de información, pero nuevamente esta información será escasa, y a Ferrari no le dará como para amenazar el reinado alemán. 



Yo creo que el año que viene tendremos un nuevo título para Mercedes, lo único que en lugar de ganar 20 carreras como va a pasar este año, ganarán solo unas 13-14. Otras 3-4 Ferrari y otras 3-4 RB.

Anda que metes los McLaren-Honda en alguna de esas victorias macho... Vaya ánimos xD

Ya, ni por casualidad se le escapa   . Pero fíjate que ese pronóstico no coincide mucho con lo que el propio Payoloco dice en la intro de este Hilo:

"No sabemos qué pasará el año que viene, si Honda nos dará por fin un motor al menos parecido en prestaciones al Ferrari y al Renault, pero algo me dice que el año que viene vamos a ver a Fernando en su salsa: peleando el título y poniéndoselo difícil a todos".

No me imagino pelear el título sin ganar ninguna carrera, no?

Jajaja bueno yo transmito ilusión más allá de lo que piense realmente.

Mercedes esta en otra liga. Pero si Honda hace un motor como el Ferrari o el Renault, estaremos ahí.

Menos mal que lo has aclarado por que te juro que iba a ser el primer reporte de mi vida
